ROSA'S PLACE
Rosa’s Place is a proposed, to be constructed new 98-unit supportive housing building (containing 97 studio units and a manager’s unit), along with various campus expansion amenities adjacent to the Downtown Women’s Centers’ (DWC) existing building at 5th and San Pedro Street in the heart of Los Angeles’ Skid Row community. The new building will increase the number of DWC-operated units in downtown Los Angeles from 119 to 216. It is being constructed on a city-owned parking lot. The new building will leverage DWC’s existing housing, wellness, and employment programs to provide wraparound supportive services in 17 new offices, a streamlined donation center and a patio connecting the new building to the existing building at the second-floor level all to service women experiencing homelessness on Skid Row. DWC is partnering with Daylight Community Development and GTM Holdings as co-developers. The team also features the work of Gensler and KFA Architecture. This transformative building will provide parking for 53 cars in a new, secure basement, laundry facilities, spacious common area amenities and several shared outdoor deck and garden areas.
